WHO WE ARE

The Greater Yakima Friends of the Library is an organization of local citizens interested in supporting the Library. Friends promote, encourage, and embrace the work of the library through activities such as fundraising; garnering support for library projects; sponsoring special programs; volunteering where needed; and keeping the Yakima libraries in the forefront of our community.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

During the last year, we've held a spring and fall book sale, hosted two book swaps, had a booth at the Central Washington State Fair, and purchased children and teen furnishings and various other gifts for the Yakima, Summitview and Southeast branch libraries. Wonderful members and volunteers have helped make these activites happen. For more information, click here.
